Roadrunner asked: I have been told my Central Air conditioner may need compressor (another company). My company has already charged me for maintenance ($75), a part ($300) and tripping breaker($45) and new breaker I bought ($15) and it still does not work. It was working fine before they did the maintenance check. Earlier in year it leaked and permanently stained my living room wall. $5000- $6000 if I want brand new AC (other company). I am not too keen on central AC right now—seems like waste of money which I do not have. I have considered just getting $600 air conditioners for my two bedrooms and use fans if I am elsewhere in townhouse. Or getting ceiling fans but my place has no overhead wiring so that would be hastle even though I would save money.
